Laparoscopy is called the procedure, with the help of which the direct visualization of the ovaries, the uterus and the fallopian tubes exterior is possible. This kind of procedure is performed by a surgical instrument, called laparoscope (a thin, lighted viewing device, containing a telescopic lens, through which it is possible to look at the exterior surfaces of a female’s reproductive organs) which is inserted through a small incision below the navel.

Laparotomy is a major abdominal surgery, during which some anomalies of the reproductive organs are corrected, like damaged fallopian tubes may be repaired or adhesions may be removed, thus, fertility may be restored.

Leiomyoma is the kind of a bening tumor of the uterine muscle and / or connective tissues.
Leydig Cell is the testicular cell, which produces the male hormone testosterone. This cell is stimulated by LH from the pituitary gland.

LH (Luteinizing Hormone) is a kind of hormone, which the pituitary gland produces and nreleases. It is responsible for the ovum maturation and then release in the female. And in the male this hormone is provides the stimulation of the testosterone production.

Live Birth is an arrival, when a fetus is delivered with sighs of life after complete expulsion or extraction from its mother, beyond twenty weeks of gestational age. Live births are considered to be birth events, for example, a twin, triplet, quadruplet, etc. live birth is counted as one birth event.

LUF (Luteinized Unruptured Follicle) Syndrome is a kind of condition, when the follicle develops and changes into the corpus luteum without egg releasing process conducting.

Lupron is the kind of a synthetic form of gonadotropin (Luteinizing Hormone) releasing hormone, which is applied for the purpose of the ovarian function suppressing.

Luteal Phase is the term, which is used to describe the last fourteen days of an ovulation cycle. It is associated with the production of progesterone from the corpus luteum.

Lutrepulse is the trade name of a hormone, which releases gonadotropin (GnRH), with the help of which the ovulation process is induced in some patients. Lutrepulse is usually administered through an infusion pump in a pulsate fashion.
