means having extremely low levels of estrogen.

Hypopituitarism is a disease, which usually occurs when pituitary gland produces low levels of LH and FSH. In men this disorder may cause low sperm counts and loss of virility. In woman it may lead to the loss of ovulation and secondary sex characteristics.

is the term, used to describe low sperm production.

Hypothalamus
is the portion of the brain, acting like a kind of a “pacemaker”, which controls the production and the periodic release of different hormones from the pituitary gland.

Hypothyroidism
is a condition, when the thyroid gland does not produce sufficient amount of thyroid hormone. The result of it is lowered metabolism, interfering with the normal breakdown of “old” hormones, which may possibly lead to lethargy. In men the lowered sex drive and elevated prolactin is observed, while in women suffer from elevated prolactin and estrogen hormones. Hypothyroidism either in men or in women may become the reason of infertility.

HSG (Hysterosalpingogram)
is the kind of an X – ray of the pelvic organs procedure, in which a radio – opaque dye is being inserted into the fallopian tubes and the uterus through the cervix. This is performed in order to see any malformations of the uterus and any blockage of the fallopian tubes.

Hysterectomy is the surgical removal of uterus and / or other women’s reproductive organs, like the fallopian tubes and ovaries.

Hysterosalpingogram
is the kind of an X – ray procedure, during which some special dye gets introduced into the uterus with the help of an injection in order to illustrate the inner contour of it and the degree of the uterine tubes’ openness (patency). 

Hysteroscopy
is the kind of a diagnostic procedure, during which the hysteroscope (it is a kind of a telescopic device, which looks much like the laparoscope) is inserted through the cervix right into the uterine cavity in order to let the physician view it.
